What is StickyDrive?
StickyDrive is a customized software application imbedded within a USB drive that allows you to advertise your company, products, brand, and proprietary information. What separates StickyDrive from other USB drives is it’s interactivity. Unlike
standard USB drives that have a limited shelf life, in the sense that once materials are installed on the drives and distributed, there is no way of updating the information without providing new drives. Also, there is no way of knowing if the end user has accessed any of the information. StickyDrive elevates all of these issues by offering ways to update the drives via secure remote uploads as well as provide usage reports. One of the most important features StickyDrive offers is the ability to remotely update and change the interface design, the video or other content seen on the drive at anytime. By imbedding software within each drive before distribution, StickyDrive has the ability to link each drive to the StickyDrive Central Server. Every time the end-user places the drive into an Internet accessed computer, the imbedded software automatically seeks out the StickyDrive server to see if there are any updates that need to be installed. If updates are available, the StickyDrive central server will automatically download the updated information. All updates are tested and confirmed before being loaded to the StickyDrive central server. Because the drives are updatable, customers not only see a current marketing message, but the drives have a longer shelf life.
All files that are sent downstream to StickyDrive USB’s are sent via a secure FTP connection. They are basically wrapped with multiple layers of security. If required, files can also be encrypted so that the end user can only get at them with a password. Another option is to put a link from the StickyDrive USB to your intranet site. Since it’s an intranet site, the end-user will have to login using a unique name and password before accessing the files. In short StickyDrive has several methods for providing security of your data.
Since there is constant communication between the end-user drives and StickyDrive’s Central Server, valuable reporting information is available to you the customer. Receive tracking reports that deliver data on the frequency and types of use, including but not limited to; the number of times the drive is used, documents are launched from the drive, website click-through activity, etc. By understanding the habits of your audience modifications can be made to future updates that reflect user’s interests.
