THE CASE OF THE CRACKED POSTERS

Client Objective:

A healthcare agency from NJ was hosting a meeting in AZ and received their poster shipment on the Wednesday before the Friday meeting.   All 128 of the posters received were cracked and broken! Their vendor wasn't able to replace them in time for the agency's meeting. The client needed the posters (all with unique images), to ship the next day, for delivery on Friday morning.

Synergem Solution:

We printed, mounted, film laminated and delivered the posters within 48 hours, all in excellent condition. The agency was so pleased, that they called us first when they needed posters for their next meeting.

THE CASE OF THE LOST PIs

Client Objective:

We were missing a shipment of PIs (Prescribing Information leaflets) from a major pharmaceutical client. They were lost in transit. We were doing fulfillment of all the client materials, but couldn’t ship them until we received this missing piece to accompany them.

Synergem Solution:

We received the call at 4:30 pm on the Monday the items had to ship, asking us to print the PIs. We received the file at 4:40 pm, and printed and stapled 5,500 nine-page PIs. We then FedExed Overnight all the materials to 111 locations across the country for arrival in time for the Tuesday meetings.

THE CASE OF THE OTHER VENDOR

Client Objective:

A healthcare agency went through another vendor to produce a CD, booklet, and a case to hold both.  The client was not happy with the final result.  The client sent us a sample of the piece and asked for our help.

Synergem Solution:

We recommended a heavier card stock to make thecae sturdier. We were initially given a standard turnaround time, but the client suddenly had to rush the job. Never fear! We delivered in four days. We were contacted afterwards by our client's client, to say how ecstatic they were!

THE CASE OF THE EURO GAME'S FAST DOZEN

Client Objective:

A European-based CD-ROM game developer and distributor wanted a single company to interface with their U.S. office, and handle the manufacturing of their projects, to be distributed in North America. A dozen games would be released in a short time frame, with custom packaging and fulfillment for each one.

Synergem Solution:

We undertook the challenge, and met the client’s objectives for each game release. We printed: four-color retail boxes, CD traycards/booklets, 100-page manuals, registration cards, and stickers. We also provided corrugated packaging, and assembled the product. We saved the client both time and money, which made the company quite happy!

THE CASE OF THE INTERFERING SOFTWARE CO.

Client Objective:

A major magazine publisher sought a manufacturer for a quarterly CD insert into one of their magazines. They had worked with a major software company in the past, but were reluctant to use them again. This supplier couldn't manage all the aspects of the project, and worse, interfered with publishing deadlines.

Synergem Solution:

Despite delays in receiving final art and CD masters, and ever-changing client issues, we met the challenge.
We created packaging that would bind the CDs in the magazine, while affording space for ad copy. We duplicated multiple masters, and designed custom packaging for the CD inserts, according to specs. To the publisher's surprise, we delivered early and on budget!

THE CASE OF THE KEYNOTE ADDRESS AFTER MIDNIGHT

Client Objective:

A marketing communications agency, working with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, was planning a large scale, three-day event. The agency wanted to record the keynote address on Friday, the first day of the conference. They also wanted a copy of the video on disc delivered to all of the attendees the very next day.
The problem was that the master disc on the keynote address given that evening, was not ready until after midnight. The completed package of 5,000 pieces (disc in wallet, sealed and boxed) had to be delivered to the agency by 8 am the next morning.

Synergem Solution:

We transported an array of portable high-speed duplicators; capable of producing over 1,000 discs an hour. We had access to screenprint and commercial offset print systems that enabled us to pre-print any special elements that couldn't be done on-site. We completed and delivered the project in less than 12 hours of receipt of the master. The agency, pharmaceutical client, and disc recipients were thrilled.

THE CASE OF THE OVER-AMBITIOUS MEETING PLANNERS

Client Objective:

A big six firm had an annual partners' meeting planned in four weeks. Meeting planners outlined a very ambitious program with numerous details, and materials that worked against a strict timeline.

Synergem Solution:

We received the electronic artwork only two weeks before the meeting. We managed all design, printing, packaging, and fulfillment through a variety of vendors. We delivered: 300-page yearbooks, custom-embossed leather binders, videocassettes, presentation folders, meeting pads/envelopes, 4-color tabs/dividers, and custom designed shipping boxes. We also designed, printed, and packaged the custom meeting kits to hold everything. We packed all the kits, and drop shipped via FedEx to a hundred domestic and international locations. The meeting planners were impressed with the high quality of the materials, and the quick turnaround.

THE CASE OF THE EIGHT AND TWO 401Ks

Client Objective:

One of the country's largest investment companies needed to educate a national retailer's employees on their 401Ks. The client wanted eight different versions of the information package, and two different videos, to be distributed to 200,000 locations. The retailer, Investment Company, and video production company would all provide content.

Synergem Solution:

We engineered the production and distribution of materials that included: package design, printing, video Duplication, fulfillment, and distribution. Our expertise in project management enabled us to interface with all three companies, while addressing the needs of each. We kept the immense project on schedule, and within budget!

THE CASE OF THE CHANGING VIDEO LOOPS

Client Objective:

A CD-Rom developer wanted to promote their products with video loops at retail locations. Points of purchase displays were also planned. Different variations of videos would be created, and special in-store versions would be looped for continuous play. Promotional tapes would be produced for new releases. There would also be promotional give-aways to attract interest, including CD-Roms, posters, t-shirts, videos, sell-sheets and other printed materials. These promotional give-aways would be regularly updated, and shipped directly to the retailers and CD-Rom distributors very month.

Synergem Solution:

We produced the various product videos for the retailers and point of purchase displays. We handled the creation of all fulfillment collateral, from custom design to production of the promotional pieces included in the video mailings. Once the packages were assembled, we maintained the company's monthly shipping to their retailers and distributors. This relationship continues today.
